House Rent Allowance Govt. of Punjab

BACKGROUND OF HOUSE RENT ALLOWANCE

The Government of Punjab has provided the facility of House Rent Allowance to their employees.  The Govt. has already bifurcated the rates of House Rent Allowances on the basis of the location of Job i.e. Big City and Small City. The employees who are performing their services in a small city, they are entitled to draw said allowance @30% of the minimum of the Basic Pay Scales 2008, and who are performing their services in big cities, are entitled to draw the HRA @45% of the minimum of the Basic Pay Scales 2008. The detail is as under:

Other Cities	30% of the Minimum of the Basic Pay Scale 2008

After that, the Govt. of Punjab revised the rate of House Rent Allowance w.e.f 01-07-2018 vides its notification No.FD.PR.9-4/2018 dated 18-07-2018 as follows:
