Grant of Time Scale Promotion Govt. of Punjab, Finance Department
The Govt. of Punjab, Finance Department has issued a notification/clarification bearing no.FD.PC.40-12/2017(834/19) dated 07th October 2019 regarding the Grant of Time Scale Promotion. The detail is as under:
I am directed to refer to your letter no. TM-1/1-1A/2019-20/227 dated 18-09-2019, on the subject cited above and to state that the case has been examined and observed that two consecutive steps Time Scale Promotion are admissible to the officers in BS-16 & above having stagnant posts on completion of 20 years regular service with effect from 01-02-2019 in accordance with para-1(ii) of The Finance Department's Notification No.FD.PC.40-12/2017 dated 19-04-2019. However, fixation of the incumbent will be made non-step to step basis instead of fixating directly to higher scale as already advised vide letter No.FD.PC.7-6/2017 dated 01-10-2018. Moreover, a post having no lower tier/upper tier line of promotion is called stagnant which may be got verified from the relevant service rules.
