WHATSAPP RELEASES A SELF-MESSENGER FEATURE “MESSAGE YOURSELF”

Whatsapp's new feature “message yourself”

WhatsApp, the famous social messaging and calling application, has introduced a new feature ‘Message Yourself’, which permits you to chat with yourself.

Details state that the "Message Yourself" feature, which WaBetaInfo initially discovered several weeks ago as part of a beta test, is now being made available to iOS and Android users worldwide in the upcoming weeks.

When creating new messages after getting the update, you will be able to see your name at the top of the contacts list. Users will be able to WhatsApp themselves messages, reminders, and shopping lists thanks to the service.

For easy access, users can pin their Message Yourself chats to the top of a conversation list. Up until now, the only way to communicate with yourself was to either start a group in which only you are a member or use the "click to chat" function of the apps.

“WhatsApp only publicly started testing this feature back in October. Some users have managed to work around its absence in the past by creating a group and then removing other members to essentially create a private chat for yourself,” GSMArena reported.

In the upcoming weeks, the feature will be made accessible.

Early in November, a Meta-owned messaging service announced plans to soon provide desktop users the ability to lock their screens.

For Android users, this brand-new screen lock feature was previously accessible. Because getting into WhatsApp on the web may be quite risky, the security of the messaging app was the key issue for desktop users.
