This article highlights changes to the YouTube Partner Program that will begin taking effect from early 2023. Updated YouTube Partner Program terms will be available for all partners to accept starting mid-January. This includes new terms to start earning ads revenue from Shorts. We’ll announce when the new terms are available.

The post of the company revealed that the company is going to provide a new opportunity for its users to earn money from Youtube shorts video.  The sharing of shorts ads earnings will be started from the 1^st of February 2023 who will meet the eligibility criteria and accept the new term for the Youtube partner Program.

Here we will provide you the main features of youtube's new term which are introduced to expand the ways of earning provided by the company.  The main changes in the terms are related to the following.

1. Earn from Youtube shorts video
2. Earn from Youtube Music

Let’s learn what are these new ways of earning and how a creator can earn from these opportunities introduced by Youtube in its recent update.

1. Earn from Youtube shorts video

Youtube shorts video is a newly introduced feature of youtube that allows its user to explore them on this platform.  The Youtube shorts are just like TikTok and SnakVideo and its allows their users to share a short form of a video of up to 15 seconds or 1 minute based on the desire of the user.  To beat TikTok and SnakVideo, Youtube is also going to provide a way of earning from shorts.  The company will start to share shorts ads earnings from the start of February 2023 and in this regard, new terms have already been rolled out.  To earn money you have to meet eligibility criteria that are already set by the company. The new eligibility criteria are as follows.

• 1,000 Subscribers and 4000 hours i.e. 2,40,000 minutes of the valid public watch in the last 12 Months, Or
• 1000 subscribers and 10 million i.e. 10,000,000 valid public shorts views in the last 90 days. 

Youtube also explained that if a user completes the Youtube short-form videos i.e. Youtube shorts or Youtube Long-form video criteria as mentioned above, his channel, he can submit his channel for review by visiting the youtube creator studio.  The company will review the channel in light of YouTube channel monetization policies. Youtube will not accept your channel if the company finds it against the monetization policies.  That is why you should keep in mind the following important aspects before submitting your channel for review.

• The content should be original
• The content should not violate any Youtube policy.

Therefore, you should read out the all policies of youtube before submitting your channel for review.  Please avoid to submitted your channel if your content falls under any one of the following categories.

• If your channel has Non-Original content. For example uploaded clips of films, movies, and Drama shows without any editing.
• If your channel has content from other YouTubers without any editing.

Note:- It is also important to mention here that public watch hours received on Youtube shorts video will not be counted toward the 4000 public watch hours threshold for long-form videos.

2. Earn from Youtube Music

Youtube is also going to roll out a new way of earning to all Youtube partnership Program creators.  At present this feature is only available for USA Creators and soon expands to others counties. In this regard, the Company commented:

We’re gradually rolling out Creator Music to U.S. creators in the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), then plan to expand to YPP creators outside the U.S.

This feature will allow the artists, owners,s and music rights holders an opportunity to earn money on youtube.  Now, If anyone uses music from the youtube audio library in his video or shorts then the owner of the music track will also get the share from ads revenue generated via both shorts and long-form videos.
